The Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and Minnesotans for Responsible Marijuana Regulation are sponsoring Up In Smoke, a joint CLE on issues regarding the pending legalization of Marijuana in Minnesota.
Please join us on Thursday July 18, 2019 for a three-hour seminar at the Urban Growler Brewery from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a free happy hour provided afterward. 3.0 CLE credits will be requested, including 1.0 elimination of bias credit.
Speakers and Sessions: 2 – 3 pm: Ben Feist of the ACLU of Minnesota will address issues of racial disparities in marijuana prosecutions.
3 – 4 pm: Elliot Ginsburg of Garner and Ginsburg d/b/a Chronic Lawyers will compare different approaches to marijuana legalization from states that have already legalized, and discuss what we should think about when enacting our own laws in Minnesota.
4 – 5 pm: Thomas Gallagher of Gallagher Criminal Defense will discuss marijuana intoxication issues, especially as they pertain to driving offenses.
